I was tasked with creating the menu system for a cd version of the documents supporting the PPHC (Pediatric Palliative and Hospice Care) Task Force Final Report.  The report menu system was to be branded with a logo I designed for the Task Force of a butterfly.  The menu links to several pdf documents.  (more…)

PixaMixa is a side project I’ve been working on for a while.  The idea behind the site was to provide a home for some of my image manipulation experiments.  The site provides links to my Talk Bubble and Thought Bubble generators which have been online for several years and been used by countless users, 3 tools were built specifically for the site providing: an ascii art conversion tool that takes a user uploaded file and converts it to ascii art, a “hidden image” generator which makes use of the popular windows hidden image hack to embed an image into another which is revealed when highlighted, and a flash based painting tool which is still being developed.

PAE Home Page

The Pennsylvania Adoption Exchange (PAE) is a part of the Statewide Adoption and Permanancy Network (SWAN).  The website for PAE was completely redesigned recently to provide better tools for the users and provide more visibility of the children waiting to be adopted.  (more…)

A lot of the experimentations and projects I have done have been related to Image Manipulation with code.  One project that I started was working with PHP image filters.  Some of these filters can be achieved with simple built in functions, others are acheived with extensive combinations of the built in functions, and some are created from scratch doing pixel level manipulations.  The following thumbnails are an example of several of the effects I’ve created with nothing more than PHP code making use of the GD Library. 

Please note that there is no web interface to currently apply these filters to your own images however if I ever get time to get back to this I will be sure to let you know.
